An academic and diplomatic career
University professor and doctor of public international law, the Consul General was appointed in Antwerp following the reopening of the Consulate General.

Doctoral thesis:
« La contribution de l’Union européenne à l’instauration d’un État de droit en République démocratique du Congo » (The European Union’s contribution to establishing the rule of law in the Democratic Republic of the Congo). The thesis analyses the EU’s actions in the DRC, identifies their limits and proposes solutions suited to the country’s legal and political context.

- Certain services are free for students (attestations and marriage fees), except the ordinary passport.
PAP: Promotion, Support and Advocacy
Economic and commercial
- Promoting investment opportunities in the DRC: information, tax advantages, conferences and forums
- Support for Congolese businesses in Belgium and for investors heading to the DRC (administrative, tax and legal procedures, visas)
- Mediation between Congolese institutions and investors, and advocacy for the improvement of the business climate.

Scientific and cultural
- Cooperation between higher education institutions: research, student mobility, exchanges and scholarships
- Support for Congolese students in the consular district, from their arrival to their return home.

Serving the Congolese diaspora
- Networking the diaspora and building links with Belgian economic and political actors
- Support for entrepreneurship and diversification of activities
- Support for the most promising projects through to their completion in the DRC
- Four levers: training, remittances geared towards entrepreneurship, trade and investment, and the transfer of skills on return
